Grant MacAskill - elder Grant grew up in about a thousand different places throughout Scotland, mainly in the Highlands and Islands. After flirting with studies in Vet medicine and Genetics, he eventually came to St Andrews to do a Ph.D in Biblical Studies. Despite the best efforts of Matt and Alasdair to get him to leave St Andrews, Grant has remained and is now a research and teaching fellow at St Mary's College (see below for more information).
