Sundays

Services

We meet on Sunday mornings in the The Halls on Queen's Terrace at both 10:30am and 6pm year round. We meet to sing God’s praises, to pray and to hear God speak to us through the Bible. Whether you are new to St Andrews and looking for a church, just visiting, or want to explore the Christian faith for the first time, we would love you to join us.

Each service lasts for just over an hour, after which we serve tea and coffee. You can expect a warm welcome, a mixture of modern songs, well-known hymns and ancient psalms, and an engaging talk.

Creche

We run a creche throughout the morning service, for children under 5. If you have any questions about Creche, feel free to contact Louise.

Jesus Storybook

Sunday School

We currently run two Sunday school groups during the first Sunday morning service (9:30am) - one for children in years P1-4, the other for P5-7. Children go out to join these groups midway through the service. At present, children in S1 and older stay in for the sermon.

While we strive to make teaching engaging and memorable for the youngsters, we firmly believe that the fundamentals of a faithful and effective children's ministry are no different to that of any adult ministry - a devotion to ministry of the word of God and prayer (Acts 6:4).

Our regular pattern, therefore, is to teach consecutively through a book of the Bible, with a balanced diet of Old and New Testament books in the course of a year, occasionally pausing to consider doctrinal topics like 'What does it mean to have a relationship with God?' and 'What is church?'.

If you have any questions about Sunday School, please contact Ciarán.
