Martin and Lorna moved to St Andrews in late 2024 when Martin retired after 36 years as a Church of Scotland minister. They met as students in St Andrews, after which Martin became a Mathematics teacher in Glasgow before retraining for the ministry. They have three sons and one favourite daughter-in-law. Interests include reading, gardening, walking and stargazing.
